• Most business owners do something in our case and inside of medicine or dentistry, we do procedures. So there is the practice of dentistry in my case. And business owners often have a technical gift or a skill set that they bring to their business, whether it's service or an industry improvement.

So what makes me relatable as a business owner is you have to wear both hats. And the other hat is the thing that needs to be developed to get a scalable business. And you have to take some leaps of faith and get advisory help to allow you know how to time those events. So in my case, I could spend one less day in the chair and one more day in my business.

  • While speaking from having experienced partnerships and Done, done an exit without partnerships, I would say stay away from partnerships unless a person is going to drive incredible strength and bring incredible resources to adventure. I would not get into partnerships if you have less than five dental practices.

  • If you've just recently purchased your practice or your if you've been a practitioner for a few years and you're getting life happening to where it's the business is not serving you, there is a way to reorder this so that you get your life back and the anxiety starts to settle down. And when you start moving in that direction, then you're going to start feeling the blessings of it and the freedom of owning a business.
